Lights, Controls: The headlights are like a volcano. I have only had a mild taste of the power on tap. Consistantly scrapes the pegs in the corners. You have to be really watching the speedo as speed climbs quickly and you don't even notice it.

The one thing it is, is the best all around bike you can buy today. I am enjoying every minute on this trusty steed. The center stand makes maintenance a breeze. This smoothed out the surge caused by 'fuel cut' and subsequent re-application of fuel. Great, great, great bike! VERY fast but comfortable for touring. Trust me, I don't look at other bikes any more on ebay, CL, cycletrader, etc.
Unlike the R1, the FZ1 made do with a side-mounted exhaust instead of the funky underseat item that the R1 and FZ6 models carried. It could be better. The bike is garage kept, barely ridden and has never seen rain... 2013 Yamaha FZ1, YOSHIMURA EXHAUST! Round town or on the open road, this bike has style and character, and it feels good!
